As Chattanooga car accident lawyers, we see far too many car accidents that are caused by totally preventable things. We applaud the brave efforts of law enforcement officers who keep our roads safe, but even with their best efforts, it seems like there is always more work to be done.
That is why we were glad to read that this holiday season, the Tennessee Highway Patrol plans to have its officers out in full force all across the state.
In the Chattanooga region, officers will particularly be concentrating on stretches of Tennessee Highway 11 and Interstate 72 and 24, the highway patrol told the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
Officers will be on hand to enforce our driving laws, nab suspected drunk drivers and assist distressed motorists.
As we said, our office handles many car, truck and motorcycle incidents each year, so we see firsthand the fallout of these accidents. In some cases, people are badly hurt and cannot work for a long time; in others, their lives are actually taken from them.
Over Thanksgiving and Christmas, please be sure to drive safely, drink only in moderation and make sure you are alert and aware when you’re driving.
If something does go wrong, however, and you find yourself the victim of a car accident, please know that help is available, if you’d like it. You are free to contact us at any time. We would be happy to review your case and then work with you to identify some steps for moving forward.
