Attorney Katie Reed is local to Chattanooga. She went to Georgia Southern University, majoring in Justice Studies, and graduated with honors in 2016. Before law school, Katie worked for Mothers Against Drunk Driving in Tennessee as a victim services specialist. She received her Juris Doctorate from Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law in 2020. During law school, she served as President of the Women of Law Society and was selected as a part of the Tennessee Bar Association Diversity Leadership Institute.
Katie joined the McMahan Law firm in 2021. She currently practices civil litigation, including motor vehicle collisions and personal injuries. As a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association, she is licensed to practice law in Tennessee.
Katie is a member of Hixson United Methodist Church. In her free time, she supports Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Tennessee Alzheimer’s Association, and Distinguished Young Women of Tennessee. Away from work, Katie spends time with her husband, son, and their animals.
