Ms. Weitzel joined The McMahan Law Firm in March 2025 and has been practicing law since 2023. She is licensed in Tennessee and focuses her practice on workers’ compensation claims, helping injured workers understand their rights and pursue the benefits they may deserve. Her work reflects a strong commitment to supporting individuals through some of the most difficult times in their lives, guiding them with compassion and determination.
Melissa earned her Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School, where she developed a passion for advocacy and workplace justice. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University. Her academic background, combined with years of experience, has given her a deep understanding of the challenges injured workers face.
She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Chattanooga Bar Association, and the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association. Through her involvement in these organizations, Melissa stays connected to the legal community and continues to expand her knowledge to better serve her clients.
